Title: Early-stage dynamics in photo-induced melting of charge order

Speaker: Dr. Hitoshi Seo (RIKEN)
Abstract:

We theoretically study the early-stage charge dynamics of charge ordering (CO) systems as a prototypical strongly correlated system showing very fast response to short pulse laser light: a phenomenon called photo-induced phase transition. We consider the interacting spinless fermion model as a basic model for CO owing to correlation effect, and apply Hartree-Fock approximation and simulate the time evolution by the time-dependent Schrodinger equation. The light-fermion interaction is introduced as the Peierls phase with classical gauge field in the kinetic energy term. By this we can study the initial process including rather large length scales.
